When competitors disappeared into New Zealand’s vast wilderness for twelve weeks of intense survival television, they faced an unprecedented challenge: navigating the backcountry completely cut off from each other, with no cellular connectivity to bridge the gap.

Live GPS. Real-time 3D. One shared world. We built the system that put contestants, crew and audiences inside the same digital space – a first for Australian TV.

Beyond delivering a comprehensive post-production package, Pancho’s team developed a custom mapping platform powered by live GPS feeds and rendered on entirely bespoke terrain.

The result was a fully integrated ecosystem where titles, timers, overlays, and dynamic 3D mapping synchronised across multiple feeds – connecting contestants in the field, production crews in trucks, and post-production teams in real time.

We meticulously removed every man-made element – roads, fences, and farmhouses across Otago’s landscape to preserve the pure wilderness experience.

By the time Helium Pictures called wrap – titles, timers, overlays and the roaming 3D map were all synced to the same feed. One seamless pipeline from wilderness to living room.
